Obituary for Isaiah "Ike" M. Jones

Isaiah “Ike” M. Jones, age 77 of Polk Twp., Kunkletown passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 8th at home.
Ike was the loving husband of Lilymarie “Lil” (Brody) Jones. They celebrated their 47th Wedding Anniversary on June 17th.
He was born in Yonkers, NY on March 22, 1939, son of the late William and Lillian (Gillham) Jones.
Ike had worked as a computer systems analyst in the Banking industry in New York City, NY for over 30 years, until retiring.
He served our country with dedication and courage in the United States Air Force.
Ike was a devoted member of Cornerstone Community Church in Kresgeville. He was also a member of the NAACP in Monroe County and the F. & A.M. Prince Hall Lodge.
Ike was active in Foster Care and was a loving mentor to many children.
We have been blessed with the presence of Ike in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife: Lil; his children: Pastor Crystal A. Jones of Bronx, NY; Marcus D. Jones and his wife Anita of Yorkville, IL and Niels Veenendaal of Kunkletown.
He is also survived by two sisters: Ruth Leonard of Winston-Salem, NC and Mary Thomas of Texas
and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.
A Memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday, February 17th at the Cornerstone Community Church in Kresgeville with Pastor Stuart Szmaciasz officiating.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Friday , February 17th from 11 am until time of the service at the church.
