Obituary for Thomas Hogarty Sr.

Thomas Hogarty Sr., age 79 of Albrightsville formerly of New City, NY passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at home.
Thomas was the loving husband of Rachel (Sivillo) Hogarty. They celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary on June 3rd.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on April 15, 1937, son of the late John and Nora (Burns) Hogarty.

Thomas had worked as a window washer for Local 32-BJ in New York City for over 50 years until retiring.
He was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Lake Harmony.

We have been blessed with the presence of Thomas in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife: Rachel; his son: Thomas Hogarty Jr. and wife Kendra of Albrightsville; his daughters: Donna Boerke and husband Chris of Washingtonville, NY and Tina Murphy of Monroe, NY. He was a loving grandfather to his 7 grandchildren.
He was the last survivor of his siblings.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM, Monday, February 13th at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Lake Harmony with Msgr. John G. Chizmar celebrant.
Thomas will be buried at the Gilbert Cemetery in Gilbert.

Family and Friends are welcome to offer condolences on Saturday, February 11th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and Sunday, February 12th from 2-4 pm and Monday, February 13th from 9 am until 9:45 am at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, PA 18331.
