Obituary for Daniel O'Shea

Daniel O’Shea, age 62 of Sciota passed away, Saturday, June 8th at St. Luke’s Hospital Monroe Campus in Stroudsburg.
Daniel was born in Queens, NY on April 3, 1957, son of the late Robert & Dolores B. (Shea) O’Shea.
He had worked as a driver for Queens Transit, school bus driver, and private cab companies in NY city.
He served our country with dedication and courage in the U.S. Army.
Daniel was of the catholic faith having served as an alter boy, and a member of the Knights of Columbus at Sacred Heart Church. He also volunteered as a Boy Scout Leader all in Glendale, NY.
We have been blessed with the presence of Daniel in our lives. He's often described by friends and family as a guy with a heart of gold. Always friendly, helpful, smiling and full of stories. He will be deeply missed especially by his siblings: Michael O’Shea of Atlanta, GA; Robert J. O’Shea and his wife Deborah of Longwood, FL; Kathleen Ernst and her husband Ken of Ft. Mill, SC; Patrick O’Shea and his wife Katy of Sciota and Kevin O’Shea of Sciota.
He is also survived by 3 nieces: Katie, Heather and Nicole and 3 nephews: Patrick, Brenden and Jonathan and 2 great nieces: Ellie and Felicity.
In addition to his parents, Robert and Dolores, he was preceded in death by a brother: Brian O’Shea.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 12th at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Gilbert.
Family and friends and welcome to offer condolences on Tuesday, June 11th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and Wednesday, June 12th from 9:30-10:30 am at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, PA.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
