Obituary for Louis D. Barber

Louis D. Barber, age 84 of Albrightsville passed away Sunday, February 3rd at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Louis was the loving husband of Katharine (Moskalik) Barber. They celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary on May 20th.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 17, 1934, son of the late John and Mary (Duarte) Barber.
Louis had worked as a Bookbinder for Sperry in New York City for over 25 years, until retiring.
He served our country with dedication and courage in the United States Army during the Korean War.
We have been blessed with the presence of Louis in our lives. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife: Katharine; his children: Mariann Sobel and her husband Michael of Albrightsville and John D. Barber and his wife Louise of Pompano Beach, FL. Louis is also survived by a brother: John P. Barber of Cobleskill, NY and a sister: Yvette Higgins of Middletown, NY.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Rachel Rose Sobel.
Services will be held 11:30 am, Saturday, February 9th at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Route 209, Gilbert, PA
Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Saturday, February 9th from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
